Airtel Digital TV has
launched all its channels on new satellite SES7 at 108.3°E. In a few days, all
Airtel DTH users have to realign their dish to SES7 from currently INSAT-4CR.
Below are some steps and images on how to do this.
First of all, the
setting on currently INSAT-4CR.
Here is the LNB
position on INSAT:
This is 'Angel'
setting on INSAT, it is on number 65 on the dish scale
To get the difference,
we make a mark/label on the back side with name INSAT-4CR
Now we are ready to
change the dish direction from INSAT to SES7
Change the LNB postion
as below image
Down the dish from 65
to 47 i.e. 65>60>55>50 > 47,
four lines on scale
Turn the dish to East
direction or DishTV/BigTV dish direction. The marks will be approx 15mm distant
now.
Now your dish is on
SES7 satellite. Choose the best SES7 Transponder suited for your region, on
your TV and check for Signal Strength. Adjust the dish a little bit for the
'Strong Signal'.
Now your STB get
channels with no any error displayed and you can check it on system
Diagnostics.

you are good man this is owesome its work
This blog would have been more useful if you indicated your location or which place these values are valid for because these values are place specific. For example, angle, elevation etc vary as you go from north to south, east to west any where in the country.
